Following on the success of our Western Water Briefing in August, 2016, Confluence and CGBD are excited to announce our next annual Water Summit will now take place November 6-8, 2017 in Minneapolis!

The Midwest Water Summit is a 1.5 day conference for philanthropies and investors interested in making an impact on water issues. Last year more than 50 Confluence and CGBD members, partners, and resource experts explored how philanthropy and private investment can play a critical role in transformation of the West’s water system by supporting policy innovations and investment in new water infrastructure. (You can read more about the 2016 conference in this follow-up report  or last year’s event website.

This year, the focus will expand towards the Midwest and the Mississippi watershed, and since water impacts everything, we will focus as much on environmental concerns as social equity. Topics may range from farmland water management to Flint’s lead contamination crisis, and indigenous land rights to urban development.

Registration will open in August, but you can book your hotel now at the beautiful Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot , using the link below.
