Please join our virtual Annual Meeting, April 12-14, where we will discuss how to rise to the moment to realize state and federal opportunities, look ahead with pragmatic optimism to 2030 and the necessary building blocks, grapple with how to further build political will and power, by helping protect and expand gains to date. Our virtual meeting will take place over three days, with each day offering a theme: Maximizing Federal and State Opportunities, Future Vision: How do we get to where we need to be by 2030, and Building Political Will to Act.

Biodiversity Funders Group members will gather virtually, Tuesday, June 15-Thursday, June 17, for the Biodiversity Funders Group’s Annual Members Meeting. We aregrateful to the planning committee–Laura Garcia, Global Greengrants Fund; Sergio Knaebel, Sandler Foundation; Meaghan Calcari-Campbell,Moore Foundation; Sacha Spector, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and Denise Joines, Wilburforce Foundation—for putting so many hours ofwork over several months to develop an agenda, reach out to speakers, and coordinate these sessions.
Renewal, resilience, and hope are among the themes that the planning committee returned to again and again. Between the global pandemicand interrelated global crises, all of which are exacerbated by elements of persistent, often multigenerational social inequities, conservation andenvironmental funders may be looking at a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to model transformative changes, both in the field and in their owninstitutions.
Please plan to join your fellow Biodiversity Funders Group members for what will be an inspirational and provocative gathering. Note that the conference is open tomembers, invited guests and speakers only.
