The 2024 CEFG Annual Meeting will be held on October 16th and 17th in Philadelphia, PA, just three weeks before the federal elections. Meanwhile, billions in federal funding for clean energy will have already been deployed, with numerous projects underway.

This year’s meeting will embrace the tension of the moment, focusing on both the upcoming election and the current state of clean energy deployment. Regarding the political context, we will provide an overview of the current landscape, explore various potential outcomes of the election, discuss their likely impacts on climate and clean energy policy, and offer strategies for preparation. We will also examine the implications of these scenarios for federal clean energy funding.

In addition, we will review the progress of clean energy deployment so far, assessing whether it is meeting equity goals, and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for further advancement. We will discuss and strategize on halting fossil fuel expansion, and take a deep dive into Pennsylvania.
