We provide opportunities for learning and collaboration that strengthens grantees’ environmental, climate, and biodiversity protection efforts.
Funders who participate in specific Biodiversity Funders Group programs and place-based programs expand the impact of their portfolios, with access to:
- Annual program meetings
- Regional meetings
- Field trips and other learning opportunities
- Subgroups and learning circles focused on specific issues
- Webinars and virtual meetings
- Targeted grantmaking analyses
- Monthly electronic newsletters and special announcements
In addition to all these activities, dues-paying members of the Biodiversity Funders Group are invited to members-only events, such as:
- The Annual Members Meeting
- The Learning in the Field program, which recently took funders to Alaska, Texas, and the Great Plains
- Small group cohorts on topics such as climate-resilient forests and equity in conservation grantmaking
- The Tribal Conservation Learning Circle
- Select webinars and other activities
Biodiversity Funders Group members elect the board of directors and often play leadership roles, such as program co-chairs or planning committee members.
