Funders of the Amazon Basin

The Funders of the Amazon Basin (FAB) is a learning group of granting entities that share strategies and lessons learned in order to become more effective grantmakers in the Andean-Amazon region. FAB’s mission is to work together for a future sustained by vibrant, thriving communities and flourishing ecosystems in the Andean-Amazon Basin.

FAB is a thoughtful space of trust where thorny issues can be discussed without retribution, enriched by the diversity of approaches, expertise, and strategies of its members. FAB offers an opportunity to increase collective impact by sparking collaborations and complementary grantmaking among members, in addition to providing a space to strategize about supporting shared grantees and partners. FAB members focus on conservation and sustainable development, as well as social inclusion and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP&LCs).

FAB is a great collaborative space where funders can jointly shape the agenda and work plan that reflects and leverages the intersection of interest among funders.
