Earlier this month, President and CEO, Ridgway White, celebrated the Foundation’s 100th anniversary year by announcing a new 10-year strategic plan. In the first decade of our second century, the Mott Foundation will focus its work through four grantmaking areas, including a renewed Environment program.
The priorities of the Environment program are evolving but are solidly grounded in some longtime interests. Over the next 10 years, the Mott Foundation plans to grant $200 million to advance goals embedded in three initiatives:
- One Water
- Finance for Sustainability
- The Land, Water and People of the Amazon Basin
While these interests are somewhat varied, all the work will be united by their program-wide mission: To support people working together to advance appropriate models of development that foster ecologically sustainable communities and protect nature.
